Social Thinking's In-Person Clinical Training Program
Three-Day In-Person Intensive Clinical Training Program
Join us at our California clinic! The Social Thinking Clinical Training Program is an advanced three-day in-person (only) training designed to help you explore the Social Thinking Methodology in depth and see how it connects to other social learning approaches, tools, and strategies. Attendees learn together in small groups from around the world, creating valuable opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and shared learning. Important: Attending this training does NOT certify participants as Social Thinking therapists or trainers.

During the training, you will:
- Observe and learn how to conduct a Social Thinking Dynamic Assessment.
- Observe live individual and group sessions across ages (most participants are school-aged; preschool and adult sessions may vary).
- Brainstorm teaching ideas with Social Thinking therapists.
- Connect and share insights with fellow attendees from around the world.
- Gain practical strategies for applying lessons and concepts at home, in school, and in clinical settings.
While we typically include one preschool group and some adult sessions, this may vary based on current demand, so we cannot guarantee observations of early learners or adults.
Important: The Clinical Training Program is only offered at our San Jose, California location.

What Participants Are Saying
Iris, SLP
What a wonderful, small and multidisciplinary group to learn with. The length was also just right for me and I loved the depth and breadth of topics covered. Thanks also for arranging for us to see many varied sessions and assessment as well. I enjoyed the opportunity to ask questions of Michelle, Pam, Randi and Ryan. Thank you all again for such a valuable and fun training opportunity. I look forward to the e-trainings and providers conference in the future!
Kym, SLP & Mental Health Clinician
The training provided a detailed discussion of the frameworks and hierarchies that underpin social thinking interventions that will be valuable in my practice. Access to clinical observations and participation in clinical activities was invaluable.
Kathleen, SLP
I loved the collaborative design which helped me learn the material and think through information as related to my own caseload. The information provided was novel from any of the other courses I have taken with Social Thinking or in general. I enjoyed observing the group sessions and was able to get some ideas for my own group sessions, as well as developing future groups.
Erika, Elementary School Teacher
It is amazing how much we were able to accomplish during those three days and am grateful to you for giving us so much of your time.
Deborah, Social Worker
I feel the experience deepened my skill and helped me correct some areas that I was not strong in (i.e. moving too fast). I loved it!
Alexandra, CCC-SLP
I really appreciated the thought that went into the training, the materials provided (the binder is my go-to resource right now), and the fact that over three days we saw a very holistic picture of Social Thinking, from the research underlying all the frameworks to the practical application in assessment and treatment sessions. Nancy was a wonderful trainer.
